The City's adopted budgets, going back to fiscal year 2019/2020. This is the working financial plan that carries the City Council's goals and priorities into action.
The budget is the City's spending plan. It carries the City Council's goals, objectives, and priorities into a working financial document, and includes organization charts, staffing summaries, appropriation-limit calculations, and the City's fiscal policy.
Putting the budget together is a team effort coordinated by Finance Department staff over several months, with budget workshops and a public hearing where residents can weigh in before the Council considers adoption. The Council adopts the budget each June, before the new fiscal year begins on July 1.
