When can each division steal
- Mini Tails: no stealing
- Lil Guys: no stealing
- Peanuts: no stealing
- Minor Boys: when the catcher has the ball
- Major Boys: when the ball crosses home plate
- Minor Girls: county rules say no; city says YES: stealing is allowed when the catcher touches the ball or the ball passes the catcher
- Major Girls: when the ball leaves the pitcher's hand
Dead ball is called when
- Mini Tails, Lil Guys T-Ball and Peanuts: play ends when the ball is returned to the pitcher, or an infielder is holding the ball and the play has stopped, or in the judgment of the umpire play should stop.
- Minor and Major Girls: play is complete when a player is standing in the 16' circle and in control of the ball. There is a halfway ruling determined by the umpire; when the ball is declared dead the player must return to the previously occupied base unless a halfway ruling has been declared.
- Minor and Major Boys: play action stops when the ball is thrown back to the pitcher and he/she controls the ball on the mound (the circle has been removed for these divisions). The same halfway ruling applies.
Pitching limits
- Minor and Major Girls: pitchers may pitch no more than 4 innings per game; no limit to games pitched per week. No re-entry once a pitcher is removed.
- Minor and Major Boys: pitchers shall not pitch more than 3 innings in a game and no more than 6 innings in a week (Saturdays begin a new week).
