The United States will celebrate its 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial) on July 4, 2026, marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The event starts at 5 PM and ends at 10 PM.
The City of Livingston will host this memorable celebration on July 4th at the Max Foster Sports Complex: the traditional VFW Flag Raising Ceremony with the Livingston Police Explorer Post, an electric guitar performance of the National Anthem by Emanuel Hernandez, and a number of family-oriented activities, contests, live music, cultural performances, and a Kid Zone with a waterslide, petting zoo, and arts and crafts.
The Fire Department will be out in front of the child care center from 6–7 PM to spray the kids with the ladder truck! There will be a banner by the stage for our community to write what "America Means to Me" — this banner will be stored and brought out for the 275th birthday!
The fireworks show will start at 9:30 PM following Cover 5's performance. The event is free; to support our local Police Explorer program, parking is $5.
